PCC helped a client in recycling their industrial wastewater. In the recycling plant, ETP effluent from the secondary clarifier has been routed to the RO unit through a set of pretreatment steps, the most important of which is ultrafiltration. The residual dissolved organic matter is thereafter removed in the downstream GAC adsorption filter, which further serves to dechlorinate the water to prevent the downstream membranes from damage through oxidation. The final pretreatment step for the RO is the 1 micron cartridge filter.

Concentrate recirculation to boost RO system recovery
Use of balance RO concentrate for UF and media filters backwash
Mini-CIP instead of CEB to reduce water and chemicals consumption and costs.
